It is a joyous day for the staff and students of St. Mary's English Higher Primary school to celebrate 50th  Kannada Rajyotsava in the school hall.

 
The programme began with the meaningful prayer service praying for the welfare of our state Karnataka, highlighting the values to be lived as good citizens. The prayer service ended with the solemn dance for the song, 'Hacchevu Kannadada Deepa'.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Diana Anitha Lobo, the chief guest of the day and the gathering are welcomed by the students of class 2 B and 6 B in a creative way with the costume and culture of a few districts of our state by specifying their speciality.
 
 The students briefed in short the history of our state, its culture and tradition highlighting in a significant way.
 
The dances on different districts of Karnataka were eye capturing. A skit was enacted to depict how Kannada language is neglected by people living in sophisticated cities because of the influence of other languages, having the message that we should love and use Kannada language in a right way.
 
 Mrs. Diana Anitha Lobo the chief guest addressed the students and delivered the apt message to the students in our state language.
 
Sr. Maisie A.C the headmistress interacted with the students and appreciated the students for their best performance and stressed upon learning kannada in our day-to-day life.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by four students in Dharwad and Hubli Kannada.
 
 Sathwik Bhandarkar and Aadhisree compered the programme in Kanada inorder to show our patriotism to our state and to uphold the richness of Kannada language.
